To sum up our activities briefly;
Raw Materials and auxiliary product : Kahramanmaraş cement factory supplies necessary limestone and clay from pits and limestone is extracted by blasting method and clay is transported from the clay grounds which are near the factory. Raw materials such as iron ore and limestone and pumice which is used as additive during cement grinding are supplied from suppliers.
Raw Material (Crushing): Raw materails ( lime stone and clay) are mixed at a certain rate in the crusher with capacity of 1000 ton/hour and are subjected to size reduction and are kept in preblending storage and also gypsum, pumice, limestone and iron ore are crushed in the crushers with capaity of 400 ton/hour and are kept in additive storage area.
Fuel Preparation: We use steam coal and petcoke as fuel. Steam coal and petcoke ,which are taken from suppliers, are kept in closed coal storage area which has 70000 tonnes capacity. Steam coke and petcoke ,which are fed by two bunkers, are mixed at requested rates and are fed into vertical coal mill with 30 ton /hour capacity. 90 micron sieve residue is ground as 1,5-5 % and taken into pulverized coal bunker with capacity of 160 ton and prepared to be burnt into rotary kiln.
Raw meal preparation (Girnding): Premix from prebelending stock area, iron ore and limestone from additive stockarea are kept seperately in raw meal intermediate bunkers. They are fed into 320t/h capacity vertical mill at certain rates according to requested quality values. Drying and pulverizing processes are effected in mills. Moisture of 0-50 mm sized and different moisturised raw meal is decreased to 1%. 90 micron siege residue is ground as 12/15% and taken into Raw Meal Homogeneous Silo.
Clinker production (Burning): Raw meal taken from raw meal Homogeneous silo is burned in preheated rotary kilns by burnig coal at a temperature between ~1.350 C – ~1.450C. After burning, compounds of CaO, SiO2, Fe2O3, Al2O3 react and creates mineral phase of C3S, C2S, C3A, C4AF. Clinker ,as being cooled up to ~ 100 C, is poured to cooling area, then stored in clinker silo with a capacity of 70,000 tons.
Cement Production (Grinding) : Cement is produced by grinding clinker with a sum of gypsum and different rate and kind additives according to cement type and additives (limestone and pumice) in ball mill with capacity of 100 t/h and vertical cement mill with capacity of 150 t/h . Cement is stocked seperately in cement silos according to its type.
Loading: Cement is sold from silos which are seperated according to cement type in bulk,big bag and sling bag. Paper bag is sold to market as 50 kg bags.
During all these process, Kahramanmaraş Çimento is using cutting edge technology and perform all maintenance activities effectively and provide the porcess continuity.
- All processes are monitored and checked from Central control room with ABB AC 800 F Automatisation SCADA System. Hardware and soft ware are renewed in accordance with cutting edge technology. All data regarding the system are processed in automatisation system and system is managed according to software. Some of kiln cooling waste gas is sent to recuperator plant to get hot water, other part is sent to grinding unit to be used as hot gas in mills.
- Energy Optimisation Practices are being maintaned by attending Brenchmark application ,executed by Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association for energy efficiency by Energy Management Department in our factory.
