We monitor our CO2 emissions annually and aim to neutralize our environmental impact by calculating the amount of CO2 produced as a result of our production.
When the 500,000 tree planting project is completed, we will have neutralized approximately 361,500,000 kg of CO2 emissions into the environment.
We are transforming waste energy into value.
In our cement factory, waste heat generated during production processes is converted into electrical energy using Waste Heat Recovery Systems.
In 2024, approximately 45.000.000 kWh of electricity was generated, preventing 20,000 tons of CO₂ emissions from being released into the atmosphere. This energy met approximately 20% of our facility's total electricity needs, increasing energy efficiency and significantly contributing to our sustainable, low-carbon production goals.
Conservation of Natural Resources
To reduce the consumption of natural resources and increase resource efficiency , we are increasing the use of alternative raw materials in our production processes. This approach contributes to more efficient and sustainable cement production processes by reducing our dependence on natural resources.
These practices, implemented without compromising quality standards, constitute one of the fundamental elements of our sustainable and responsible production approach.
Clean Power from the Sun
Through our renewable energy investments, we support our production processes with clean and low-carbon energy sources, contributing to a sustainable future.
Our existing Solar Power Plants (SPPs), with an installed capacity of 6,950 kWp, prevent approximately 6,230,000 kg of CO₂-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions annually. With the completion of our ongoing investments, total installed capacity is targeted to reach 25,000 kWp, which will enable an annual reduction of approximately 22,500,000 kg CO₂-equivalent emissions.
As part of its social responsibility projects, Kipaş has built 11 schools and donated them to the Ministry of National Education, demonstrating its commitment to education.
Our schools have a total of 223 classrooms, 4,899 students and 330 teachers. As part of our Social Responsibility Projects, we meet with children in village schools through fun events we organize periodically, sharing in their joy.
Thanks to the use of next-generation electric vehicles in our raw material quarries and facilities, we are increasing our energy efficiency, reducing natural resource consumption and significantly lowering our greenhouse gas emissions.
